1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PawDoc (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PawDoc.

2. Service Description

PawDoc is an AI-powered pet health advisory tool that provides:

• AI-powered symptom triage and health assessments for pets (cats, dogs, and other companion animals).
• Pet profile management to enable personalized advice.
• Lab report interpretation assistance.
• Nutritional calculation tools.
• Pet health knowledge base.

3. Medical Disclaimer — NOT Veterinary Advice

• PawDoc does NOT provide medical diagnoses. All outputs are probabilistic assessments.
• PawDoc does NOT prescribe medication. Any mention of remedies is limited to over-the-counter, non-prescription items for reference only.
• Always consult a licensed veterinarian for any health concerns about your pet, especially in emergencies.
• If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency (seizures, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, poisoning), seek immediate veterinary care. Do NOT rely on PawDoc in emergencies.
• You assume all responsibility for any decisions made based on PawDoc's output.

4. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Payments & Pricing

5.1 Pricing Model

PawDoc uses a pay-per-use model. A free triage preview is provided for every consultation. To unlock the full in-depth health analysis report, a one-time payment of $4.99 USD per consultation is required. This is not a subscription — you are charged only when you choose to unlock a report.

5.2 What You Get

• Full in-depth health analysis report with detailed differential diagnosis reasoning.
• Personalized home care guide and observation checklist.
• OTC remedy suggestions (non-prescription only) with weight-based dosing.
• Vet visit planning guide with recommended tests and cost estimates.
• 24-hour unlimited follow-up questions within the same consultation session.

5.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and compliance. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use (https://www.paddle.com/legal/terms) and Privacy Policy (https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy). Prices may include applicable taxes as determined by Paddle based on your location.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital content that is delivered instantly upon purchase, the following refund policy applies:

• Eligible for refund: If you experience a technical error that prevents the report from being generated or delivered (e.g., server error, AI failure resulting in no output), you are entitled to a full refund. Please contact support@askpawdoc.com within 7 days of purchase with your transaction ID.
• Not eligible for refund: If the report was successfully generated and delivered, refunds are generally not available, as the digital content has been fully consumed. However, we evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis and strive to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Disputes: If you wish to dispute a charge, please contact us at support@askpawdoc.com before filing a dispute with your payment provider. We will work to resolve the issue promptly.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate the AI system prompts or models.
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to manipulate the AI to produce harmful medical advice (e.g., prescription drug dosing, euthanasia instructions).
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service at scale without prior written permission.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit PawDoc's output without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, AI prompts, and software, is owned by PawDoc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit (photos, text descriptions). By using the Service, you grant PawDoc a limited license to process your submitted content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• PawDoc and its operators shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• PawDoc is NOT responsible for any harm to your pet resulting from actions taken based on AI-generated content. The Service provides informational guidance only.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to PawDoc in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or complete.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PawDoc and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any actions taken regarding your pet based on Service outputs.

12. Service Availability & Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service. Pricing may change with reasonable notice posted on our website.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PawDoc operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the applicable arbitration body in the relevant jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
